EXPORT ADVISORY

Kermit 95 includes SSH, Kerberos, SSL/TLS, and SRP security. These security methods require strong cryptography, whose export is controlled by United States Law. An application for export classification was filed with the US Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS, formerly BXA) and effective 16 July 2002, Kermit 95 has been granted Export License Exception ENC, which allows the cryptographic version of Kermit 95 to be exported to all countries except Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria. A separate non-cryptographic version of the software without SSH, Kerberos, SSL/TLS, and SRP is available for evaluation in the restricted countries.

THE CRYPTOGRAPHIC VERSION
IF YOU ARE IN ANY COUNTRY EXCEPT CUBA, IRAN, IRAQ, LIBYA, NORTH KOREA, SUDAN, OR SYRIA, you may download the cryptographic version, which includes an SSH v1/v2 client as well as secure Telnet, FTP, HTTP, and Rlogin clients. CLICK HERE for export clearance and to access the download (12.1 MB).

THE NON-CRYPTOGRAPHIC VERSION
If you are in a country to which export of the cryptographic is not allowed, or if you would rather have the non-cryptographic version, which does not include an SSH client or secure Telnet, FTP, HTTP, or Rlogin clients, CLICK HERE to download the non-cryptographic version of Kermit 95 (10.8 MB).
