Background
This is the official archive for:
- pre-compiled OpenVZ enabled linux kernel packages for production use
- updated versions of OpenVZ utilities stable enough for production use
- latest versions of OpenVZ utilities for testing
Stable packages
Stable packages are packages stable enough for production use. It is not
the same definition as used for Debian stable. Instead this archive will
contain up-to-date versions as soon as they are considered for production
use.
The packages are built for:
- Debian 8.0 jessie (current stable release)
- Debian 7.0 wheezy (old stable release)
Add the following line in your /etc/apt/sources.list file:
Jessie:
deb https://download.openvz.org/debian jessie main
Wheezy:
deb https://download.openvz.org/debian wheezy main
In "wheezy" and "jessie" the following packages are available:
- vzctl (i386 and amd64)
- vzquota (i386 and amd64)
- vzstats (architecture independent)
- ploop with libploop1 and libploop-dev (i386 and amd64)
- linux-image-openvz-amd64 (amd64)
This is a meta package that installs the latest openvz enabled kernel
for amd64 architecture.
- linux-image-openvz-i386 (i386)
This is a meta package that installs the latest openvz enabled kernel
for i386 architecture.
More packages will available as soon as they have been confirmed stable for
production use.
Test versions
If you want to help testing new kernel and/or utility versions add the
following line (in addition to the above) in your /etc/apt/sources.list file:
Jessie:
deb https://download.openvz.org/debian jessie-test main
Wheezy:
deb https://download.openvz.org/debian wheezy-test main
In "jessie-test" and "wheezy-test" the following packages are available:
- vzctl (i386 and amd64)
- vzquota (i386 and amd64)
- vzstats (architecture independent)
- ploop with libploop1 and libploop-dev (i386 and amd64)
- linux-image-openvz-amd64 (amd64)
This is a meta package that installs the latest openvz enabled kernel
for amd64 architecture.
- linux-image-openvz-i386 (i386)
This is a meta package that installs the latest openvz enabled kernel
for i386 architecture.
Please submit bugs at https://bugs.openvz.org/
and please report success tests to debian@openvz.org. This way we can speed up the
transition to production use.
